Getting to know Lindsay Heber

Hi! I'm Lindsay Heber, a licensed Psychologist with a PsyD in Clinical Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I also hold a Masters in Clinical Psychology from East Tennessee State University and a Bachelors degree from Louisiana State University, Shreveport. I am passionate about helping people reduce their emotional pain and suffering. I work collaboratively with each person, leading with compassion and an open mind. I believe healing comes from working holistically and addressing the mind, body, and soul connection. My approach I tailor therapy to each individual's needs using an eclectic approach to provide what you need, how you need it. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Spirituality, Mindfulness, and Trauma-Focused techniques. My focus I love working with people navigating trauma, anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression, or those wanting to incorporate spirituality into their healing. I work with adults of all gender identities. My communication style I provide a warm, caring, and compassionate space for those I work with. I help you see yourself and others in a loving way. I lead with heart, openness, and curiositynever judgment or power. Therapy is a collaboration between two experts, and you are the most important expert on yourself. My journey to therapy My childhood was very challenging, and I experienced my own depression and anxiety. This sparked my curiosity about why people do what they do and fueled my desire to help others feel less pain and suffering. Having experienced trauma myself, I use those experiences to become a better person. It warms my heart to see others grow and feel better. I love helping people see things from new perspectives that support healing. My goals for you We will discuss what you want to achieve in therapy and how youll know when youve gotten there. Well check in periodically to ensure were on track and make adjustments as needed.
