UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I use an empathic and non-judgmental approach, believing that a strong therapeutic relationship is paramount. My approach is eclectic and client-centered, tailored to each individual's unique needs. I draw from cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic theories to provide effective care. I specialize in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. I have experience working with individuals facing major life changes such as addiction, job loss, diagnosis of a major medical condition, loss of a loved one, and relationship challenges, among others. My work spans all mental health diagnoses and substance use disorders. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and a Bachelor’s degree from Hood College.
