Psychotherapist
274 Madison Ave, Rm 1501, New York, NY
*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and specific phobias, particularly when they manifest through ruminating thoughts, racing thoughts, or physical symptoms. I support individuals who feel caught in unhelpful thought loops that can lead to compulsions or avoidant behaviors, working collaboratively to build awareness and introduce skills that restore a sense of control. I also have deep experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities. My approach includes psychoeducation, time management strategies, and executive functioning support, all grounded in a strengths-based perspective that emphasizes what’s working, rather than what’s missing. In addition to these areas, I help patients manage life stressors such as relationship strain, family dynamics (using a culturally competent lens), low self-esteem, and work-related challenges. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a structured, goal-oriented approach that helps identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. I use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to support psychological flexibility, mindfulness, and value-based action. I also draw on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to build emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance skills. What brought me to this work is a passion for helping people see their challenges in a new light. I believe that the things we often label as “weaknesses” can actually become some of our greatest strengths. I enjoy helping individuals tap into their full potential, navigate complex situations with insight, and feel empowered in their own decision-making. My practice is rooted in whole-person care, recognizing that every aspect of your identity is relevant to your overall well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring a supportive, collaborative presence to therapy. My style is warm, practical, and strengths-based. Our work together is a partnership; your insight and lived experience are just as important as the tools and strategies I offer. In our sessions, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, without judgment. Whether you’re dealing with anxious spirals, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty with executive functioning, we’ll examine the root causes and develop a shared plan that feels achievable and aligned with your values. I’m particularly attuned to the needs of neurodivergent individuals. I aim to meet you where you are and work with what already makes you unique and capable. I understand how important it is to feel seen, not pathologized. That’s why I emphasize personal empowerment and self-trust in every step of the therapeutic process. Whether we’re discussing relationship dynamics, unpacking a difficult past experience, or navigating the pressure of daily life, my goal is to create a space where you can speak freely and feel supported in making meaningful, sustainable changes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will focus on getting to know you, your goals, your challenges, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history and the patterns you’ve noticed in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This gives us a roadmap for moving forward. In ongoing sessions, we’ll work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns, increase emotional awareness, and introduce practical strategies that help you manage distress and move toward what matters most to you. Depending on your needs, this may include thought-challenging techniques (CBT), mindfulness and values work (ACT), or skill-building in areas such as emotion regulation and boundary setting (DBT). If you’re someone who benefits from structure, I’ll provide it. If you prefer space to reflect and process, we can take that route too. Every session is tailored to your style, energy, and needs that day. We’ll check in regularly on how things are going so you can track your progress and feel confident applying tools in real life. I want our work to feel both empowering and actionable, giving you clarity, insight, and strategies to live more fully.
