Lindsey Hughes, MPS

Lindsey Hughes, MPS

Psychotherapist
NY
I am an art psychotherapist dedicated to working collaboratively with clients to explore healing and growth. No matter what we have experienced in life, we all have the ability to heal. Each person is unique and deserves a treatment plan tailored to their personal needs and goals. Healing can be challenging and uncomfortable, which is why the client/therapist relationship is so important. I bring energy and humor to each session and pride myself on building strong therapeutic alliances based on empathy, trust, non-judgment, and curiosity. My work focuses on identifying emotional triggers, understanding behavioral patterns, setting goals, and fostering self-acceptance. I incorporate both traditional talk-based therapy and various mediums within creative arts therapy. Sessions are curated to what works best for each client. I have extensive experience working with trauma and addiction treatment. As a queer woman, I enjoy working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and am always mindful of intersectionality, providing trauma-informed care. I am committed to my clients and prioritize their safety at all times. I hold a Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.
