What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach to address your deeply personal needs will be strengths-based, client-centered and integrative. I access many different evidence-based treatment modalities including psychodynamic theory, narrative therapy, and solution focused, in a warm, authentic and compassionate way. To me, the relationship between client and therapist is the most important component to a successful therapeutic partnership.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

To me, mental health is an ongoing daily practice, and therapy is one piece of it. I think about therapy as process of self-discovery and healing. My main goal is to support you through the ups and downs of your personal experience. I approach my clients with the intention of it being a collaborative process – really working to meet you where you are each session. My focus will be on establishing a trusting and supportive relationship with you. I have worked with many women navigating the transition into and through motherhood. Many women experience challenges adjusting to their new life after baby and the identity shift that happens – we will work together to develop insight and skills to better cope with this stress, anxiety and other emotional pressures you might be feeling. I have completed training through Postpartum Support International, to be able to better address the range of emotions that women experience after having a baby and their response to the many different stages in their child’s development. Every client I work with is unique – and I want to make sure that my style resonates with you!
