Getting to know Lisa Kieran

Hello! People often contact me when they are starting to lose their grip on how to stay connected with what’s important to them, or are feeling overwhelmed by the pace and demands of a full and busy life. I specialize in working with couples, parents and individuals struggling with relationship difficulties. I’m glad you’re here.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I love doing this work because every day I get to witness my clients risking the vulnerability to put themselves out there in my office both with one another and with me and to let themselves be seen

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy to help couples and parents communicate more clearly and compassionately with one another, and to help individuals explore what’s behind an emotional response. We can also incorporate skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help cope with overwhelming emotions and explore parts work from an Internal Family Systems approach.
