Hi there, I'm Liza Amanda! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Georgia. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health needs. My approach I will meet you where you’re at and help you celebrate your journey while finding joy along the way! Together, we will develop the coping skills and tools that you need on your path to healing. Your sessions will be tailored to you and your short and long-term goals in life. There is no judgment, but only an empathic client-centered approach to build on your strengths. My focus I enjoy working with clients who have challenges with ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, including acute stress disorder and PTSD, problems with emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and those needing support and guidance with life’s struggles. I also have experience with clients who are veterans and who have experienced military sexual trauma. I am a multiculturally competent therapist and work well with issues of diversity, including differences in sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic status, race, ethnicity, age, and religion. My communication style I am open and honest in my communication style. I value your voice in session and understanding your thoughts and needs. I am warm and non-judgmental, aiming to create a safe space to foster sharing with me. I am also an active, engaged listener who loves to use humor during sessions! My journey to mental healthcare I began working in mental health because I enjoy being a part of your journey to wellness in a bio-psycho-socio-spiritual model. I believe in the strength of resilience and the power of vulnerability, leading to a more purposeful and intentional life. My goals for you The progress you make in therapy has so much to do with our client-therapist relationship, and I believe in spending time establishing that relationship. I will do this with thoughtfulness and intentionality.
