Hello, I'm Lydia. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor. With over 25 years in the mental health profession, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate through their challenges and live to their fullest potential. My approach to therapy is centered around breaking down barriers and discovering passions, guiding you to a life that aligns with your values and dreams. I provide individual therapy for a range of issues including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, addiction, and other disorders. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS). Whether you're dealing with PTSD, bipolar disorder, or navigating a life transition, I am here to support you. My clinical experience spans working at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, crisis counseling, and providing mental health and substance abuse outpatient therapy. I believe in the power of counseling to help release pain and replace it with dreams. It is truly amazing to witness people start to realize their potential and live a values-based life. There are many ways to become aware of what fulfills you, and I am here to help you find those ways. When I'm not working, I love to take advantage of the beautiful bounty of Western Colorado. Being active in the community and enjoying the outdoors is important to me. I also believe in the power of mindfulness and savoring the moment to enhance everyday life. If you're ready to start your journey towards a more fulfilling life, I'm here to help. Let's work together to uncover your potential and create a life that brings you joy and satisfaction.
