I am an LCSW with a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Social Work licensed in both Alaska and Michigan. Additional training as a trauma clinician working with clients to begin their recovery journey recognizing risks associated with substance use disorders (SUD) and unresolved grief and loss. I specifically work with families and friends left behind after a suicide death and completed my post-doctoral studies working with military service Veterans.
My clinical experiences include private practice utilizing Eco therapy and providing crisis intervention services to rural and inner city hospitals working with Alaska Natives and outpatient clinical therapy services treating clients with anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
My professional interests include community action projects: Opioid Education Naloxone Distribution (OEND), Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and promoting The Compassionate Friends (TCF), a national organization with local chapters to support grieving families.
When not at the office, I am always up for a spontaneous outdoor adventure and love island hopping with my sea kayak.
