Hello, I'm Lynzee. Being a teenager today is incredibly challenging. Teens face numerous pressures from peers and social media, pandemic stressors, depression, anxiety, substance use, and family conflict. It's easy to feel overwhelmed with worries about the future, especially when you're juggling activities and responsibilities or dealing with family arguments. I understand that it can be difficult to talk to a stranger about your problems. That's why I follow your lead, get to know you, and help you identify your needs and goals. I was raised in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, and attended the University of Wyoming. I hold a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Additionally, I am a National Board Certified Counselor and a Global Career Development Facilitator. With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I have always been drawn to working with teenagers. My background includes residential treatment, juvenile probation, family counseling, and nine years in various school counseling roles. For the past two and a half years, I have been in private practice, where I have supported children, teens, and families through crises, including suicidal ideation, grief and loss, and life transitions. I enjoy helping people view their challenges from different perspectives. I believe that a counselor's role is that of a guide. I will walk beside you and learn from you because you are the expert on yourself! Often, you have the answers to your challenges and just need help getting 'unstuck.' I can facilitate this process.
