Lyudmila Gonk, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
I worked for 15 years in a hospital, providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy. I had the privilege of working with clients from all over the world, with different backgrounds and various age groups. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University, which has deeply informed my clinical practice. Currently, I have transitioned to private practice, offering telehealth therapy. I believe compassion, caring, and the therapeutic alliance are the most important elements in the helping process—these core values guide my work. I use a gentle and creative approach to support my clients on their healing journey. Depending on the client’s needs, stage of therapy, and mental health issue, I draw from various therapeutic approaches. For example, when working with Bipolar disorder, I combine interpersonal, supportive, and CBT modalities in a collaborative and empathic setting. Most importantly, I believe that compassion, openness, and acceptance build a strong therapeutic alliance, which is key to maximizing a client’s successful outcome.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
