I am a licensed psychoanalyst and writer living in New York City. I hold a BS from NYU and an MA from the New York Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. I completed my clinical training at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and am certified by the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis (NAAP). My academic background is in literature, psychoanalysis, and critical theory.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Psychoanalytic therapy offers a private space to speak about what may be difficult to say elsewhere: conflicted feelings, fears, desires, disappointments, and patterns that shape your relationships, work, and sense of self. In psychoanalysis, symptoms are not treated simply as problems to eliminate, but as meaningful expressions of unresolved inner conflict that once understood can be resolved.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches tailored to you and the unique relationship we develop together. You may sit face-to-face or lie on the couch, depending on what feels most comfortable and conducive to exploration.
