Hello, I'm Makaila! This is a big, brave step you’re taking and I’m so glad you are here! I don’t feel that we are meant to do this journey alone, and that’s why I’m here. Whatever your goals and needs may be, we will work together to create the life you’ve imagined. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, where we work as a team to navigate the challenges you face and celebrate your successes along the way. I hold an MSW and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Addiction Specialist. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in a wide range of settings, including community mental health and the Department of Youth Services. For the past 6 years, I have worked with clients needing support around depression, addictions, PTSD, anxiety, as well as other mental health needs. My specialties include addiction, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, family relationships, intimate/romantic relationships, life transitions, PTSD, stress, suicidal ideation and/or self-harming, and trauma. No matter where you’re starting from, I will meet you there! I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood.
