What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly and honestly. I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, and I aim to support clients in exploring the root of their concerns, gaining insight into their patterns, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful change. I prioritize developing a strong therapeutic connection and strive to create a relaxed, approachable environment. When appropriate, I use a grounded, relatable style and humor to help clients feel more comfortable, safe, and open in session. I integrate evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness techniques, goal-setting, and solution-focused interventions. Together, we work to build tools that support emotional regulation, healthier coping strategies, and improved overall functioning based on each client’s unique needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session I will complete an intake assessment to gather as much information to better assess and get to know you, your history, and what concerns have brought you to therapy and therefore set up goals. The following sessions, we will engage in talk therapy while pulling from various modalities to help you achieve your goals. Our sessions are 45 min in length on a weekly basis. Please allow 15 minutes before the session to do the intake paperwork. I PROVIDE PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICES ONLY; PLEASE NOTE I DON’T PROVIDE MEDICATION MANAGEMENT SERVICES.
