What should a new client know about working with you?

The Answer I Wasn’t Looking For. Like many of the clients I work with today, I spent years moving through life feeling just a little out of step with everyone else. I wasn't necessarily struggling in obvious ways—I just experienced the world differently and couldn't explain why. It wasn't until I received an ADHD diagnosis later in life that many pieces of my story took on new meaning. Our stories aren't identical, but they share a common thread: we spent years explaining away behaviors that finally made sense once we understood how our brains worked. Life also handed me another unexpected challenge. Fifteen years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. Facing a rare and aggressive illness changed how I view resilience, healing, and what truly matters. It taught me that life can change in an instant—and that growth often comes from the experiences we never would have chosen for ourselves. Maybe your story looks different. Perhaps anxiety keeps you constantly on edge. Maybe trauma continues to affect your relationships, confidence, or sense of safety. Perhaps you've spent years feeling misunderstood, masking who you are, or wondering why life seems harder than it should. Whatever brought you here, you don't have to figure it out alone. Today, I help adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, grief, and life transitions so they can better understand themselves, heal from the past, and build lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling. A Bit About Me Outside of therapy, I'm endlessly fascinated by how people work and how we grow through life's challenges. As someone who has navigated both a late ADHD diagnosis and cancer survivorship, I've learned that healing isn't about becoming someone different. It's about understanding yourself more fully and learning to work with who you are rather than against yourself. That perspective shapes everything I do as a therapist.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

What It's Like to Work With Me Therapy with me is collaborative, focused, and respectfully irreverent. I believe healing happens when we stop asking, "What's wrong with me?" and start becoming curious about our experiences, our patterns, and what we truly need. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to perform. Together, we'll make sense of what's happening beneath the surface while developing practical tools that help you move forward. My Approach I integrate CBT, DBT, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and EMDR to help clients create meaningful and lasting change. One area I am particularly passionate about is trauma treatment. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist, a credential awarded through EMDRIA that requires extensive consultation, clinical experience, and advanced training beyond basic EMDR training. While many therapists are EMDR trained, certification reflects a deeper level of specialization and commitment to the model. Whether we're working through trauma, navigating life transitions, or better understanding neurodivergence, therapy is always tailored to your unique needs and goals.
