What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in short term Solution Focused Brief Therapy which creates collaboration rather than instruction. I strongly believe that we each possess the ability to resolve whatever we may face. Sometimes it’s about figuring out what the issue really is and then figuring out how things will be different when the issue is resolved, that’s the Miracle Question. Often times, you have the answer, but you just need someone who will listen, support, and guide while you work your way to it.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I like to begin my sessions with a conversation listening to what the client believes they need help with. There is, of course, the paperwork and assessment documentation, but my main focus is just getting to know the client and hearing what their issues and goals are. Often the client will have some insight into what hasn’t worked, which is a plus. I also like to talk about what therapy is and is not for those who are new to the process or have preconceived notions.

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $150 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $100 for 45 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront
