Hello, I'm Marcia, a clinical social worker licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, and California. With 37 years of mental health experience working with both adults and children, I have had the privilege of helping clients navigate a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, parenting problems, and ADHD. I have also supported many individuals who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in a holistic and empowering approach, where I tend to the mind, body, and spirit of each individual and family. I believe in honoring and addressing social and cultural issues such as discrimination, racial and gender bias, and multi-generational post-traumatic stress. The strategies and skills I most frequently use in my work include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and integrative medicine for mental health. However, I am flexible and incorporate other methods to meet the unique needs of each individual.
