“I've been seeing Maria for almost 7 years and I can honestly say there's been a before and after in my life because of her practice and support. My life has changed for the better and it keeps going in a direction where I didn't believe was possible for myself. I'm also someone who is bilingual and Spanish is my first language and the language I feel most comfortable expressing myself with. My sessions with Maria are primarily in Spanish and sometimes in English - to have that option has been fundamental for me. I feel so lucky to have found her. She has created an environment where I feel safe, heard, and I can be so honest and open with her. She's been an undeniable support in my life and I will always be so grateful to have found her. ”

Maria’s work is so important and it is evident she is extremely skilled in her field. She clearly cares about her clients and is doing something she loves. Maria provides a safe space for her clients and is respectful yet still super caring. I am also grateful she speaks Spanish and I am able to easily jump in and out of English as needed. Thanks to Maria and I’ve had so many insights about myself that would have never happened if I did not meet with her. I am so grateful for her and would recommend her to everyone I know if I could.

María was incredibly thoughtful and thorough in her approach to hearing me out at our first meeting, where we level set expectations and laid the groundwork, and onward. She asks questions and offers observations that are a healthy balance of challenging and enlightening. In a few short weeks, I feel I’ve made considerable progress and absolutely recommend meeting with Maria.

I've been working with Maria for 5 years now. I found her services through therapyforblackgirls.com because it was important for me to work with someone of color. She has guided me through becoming more self-aware in a very warm, thoughtful, and caring way. Working with her, I've been able to strengthen my positive coping skills while analyzing unhealthy coping mechanisms. Maia allows me a space of full self-reflection without judgment. I highly recommend working with her.
