Getting to know Marika Reisberg

When life transitions throw you off track you can always yell "plot twist" and make a change! Welcome to Courage to Create Counseling! I'm so glad you're here. If you're looking for support in navigating challenging life moments, transitions, leaving difficult situations, starting new adventures, setting boundaries, rediscovering who you are, or meeting yourself for the first time, I am here with a compassionate heart, non-judgemental space and creative passion to help you create the life you want. I provide my clients with a variety of approaches, skills and resources to not just feel fine but to thrive. No single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities including, Dance/Movement Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Somatic Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Play Therapy. I am passionate about finding creative solutions to life's challenges. I specialize in working with adults in life transitions, anxiety, depression and self discovery. My educational background includes a Master's degree from Naropa University in Somatic Psychology, in Boulder, CO. I have a BFA in Acting from the Hartt School, in Hartford, CT, and I am also a certified Creativity and Innovation coach. I build a strong relational foundation with all my clients so they know that when life challenges arise, I can be a stable resource and support.
