Getting to know Mark Sichel

My name is Mark Sichel, and I am a psychotherapist, author, educator, speaker, and consultant based in Austin, Texas. I am licensed in Texas, New York, and New Jersey. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Hunter College, City University of New York, and I earned a Certificate in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. I work both virtually and in person at my office in downtown Austin. With 30 years of experience, I have worked with nearly every type of individual, couple, and family issue imaginable. I am adaptable, flexible, accepting, supportive, and available to my clients between sessions. I believe in a holistic approach and encourage clients to supplement therapy with exercise, yoga, spiritual or faith-based practices, and attention to nutrition. I practice what I preach outside my office and am highly committed to regular exercise, yoga, and family life. Over the years, I've been fortunate to work with many diverse clients, each contributing to my growth and development. I enjoy writing, travel, good food, exercise, and spending time with my family.

Very nice and thoughtful therapist. I didn't end up continuing on with treatment as I chose to go with a more hands on (full time) therapy program. Highly recommend.
