My goal for my clients is not only for them to feel better, but also gain deeper insight into themselves, and provide them with practical tools and skills to cope better with life's difficulties. I am skilled in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and active/empathic listening with a range of clients from different social, class, and cultural backgrounds and experiences.I am trained in evidence-based practices such as: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. My approach to therapy with my clients is eclectic, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I seek to provide a highly empathic and validating environment for my clients and utilize different theories and interventions based on my client’s needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to allow my clients to share freely and comfortably with me by creating a non-judgmental space where they feel heard and understood. As much as processing emotions and past trauma is a very important part of the therapeutic process, it's equally important that you feel you are making progress, gaining insight, and finding new ways to cope with overwhelming emotions.
