MaryAnn Byrne, LPC, NCC

Psychotherapist
VA
I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing issues with social skills, learning difficulties, Autism, depression, anxiety, divorce, and oppositional behaviors. I also work with parents on how to parent a child with ODD, ADHD, and Autism. Children, tweens, and teens who are struggling with self-esteem, divorce, peer relations, school issues, depression, or anxiety are my passion. I want to help them learn to navigate their young world more effectively and achieve their potential. I have extensive experience in the educational system as a special education teacher and school counselor. I help parents understand and navigate the special education system, manage behaviors in the home, and find assistance in the community. I perform Autism assessments, which include recommendations and accommodations for work and school. I am passionate about helping young girls achieve their dreams and survive girl world. I have been working with children on the Autism spectrum for many years and enjoy helping them and their parents develop the skills needed to grow into successful adults. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Virginia Tech. Appointments begin in mid-April.
