I am an advanced candidate at the Derner Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy and Chief of Social Services at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where I direct psychiatric emergency, crisis, and inpatient services across a staff of 50. I hold a Masters in Social Work from New York University.
I work with executives and senior leaders who have built real careers and are encountering ceilings that strategy alone cannot address. This work operates at the level where patterns actually live — beneath behavior, beneath insight, in the unconscious architecture that shapes decisions under pressure.
What should a new client know about working with you?
This is depth work designed for people who are ready to operate at a different level. It is not coaching, it is not symptom management, and it is not a short term engagement. What is your typical process for working with clients?
This work begins with an initial consultation to determine whether there is a genuine fit — not every client is right for this work and not every therapist is right for every client. That conversation is designed to be useful in itself.
If we proceed, sessions are conducted via secure telehealth at a frequency we establish together based on what the work requires.
The approach is psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy. There are no worksheets or techniques to practice. What develops over time is a particular kind of attention — to patterns, to what gets avoided, to what operates beneath conscious awareness. Change emerges from that process, not from advice or strategy.
This is work measured in years, not months. Those who benefit most are ready for that commitment and sense that what limits them lives deeper than any prior intervention has reached.
