Getting to know Megan Wakeley

For some, therapy provides a space to address a current crisis, chronic feelings of distress, or to expand awareness of oneself-sometimes a mix of all three. I believe therapy is most impactful when tailored to each person's unique needs and concerns. This looks different for everyone and might even change throughout your journey. Good therapy can help you make the changes you have been struggling with, identify patterns that might be holding you back, and ultimately create a more fulfilling life. I utilize an integrative style, incorporating relational, somatic, and practical strategies depending on your unique needs. For over a decade, I have worked with the LGBTQ+ community, adolescents, young adults, and adults regarding family and relationship issues, transitions, career stress and burnout, self-image, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I work in an affirming and collaborative approach, finding a balance between holding a space where you can truly hear yourself and providing direct feedback when helpful. I hold a Master's in Clinical Social Work from City University of New York, Hunter College, and a Master's in General Psychology from the University of North Florida. Please note, I do not accept insurance. I am an out-of-network provider and would be happy to help you navigate obtaining potential reimbursements for out-of-network benefits.
