My name is Melanie. I'm a compassionate humanistic counselor with a unique ability to blend deep empathy and understanding with a lighthearted approach. Drawing from principles of humanistic, I believe in the potential of every of every individual to grow, heal and find meaning in life. I offer a client-centered, non judgmental and supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. What sets me apart is my ability to be warm and humorous in session. I hope to help clients feel at ease even during challenging moments. I hope to promote a sense of optimism and resilience, encouraging you to see your struggles from a new perspective and make the therapeutic journey both insightful and enjoyable. Issues that I commonly work with are anxiety, depression, adverse childhood experiences, substance abuse, adolescent treatment, ADHD and autism. I'm a neurodivergent affirming counselor and enjoy working with this population. Modalities I utilize include CBT, DBT, ACT and IFS. I'm a trauma informed therapist and LGBTQIA+ with experience in trans-affirming counseling. Overall, I hope to bring a refreshing blend of sincerity and wit to every session and make the therapeutic process of healing but also one of hope and joy.
