Getting to know Melissa Costa

I’m an LMSW in New York who believes in the power of self-determination and community and how it can heal. What inspires me most is the daring initiative towards personal growth I witness in clients, and the opportunity to support individuals as they discover their own strengths and capacity for change. I work with clients navigating anxiety, family/ intergenerational trauma, relationship/ attachment challenges, self-confidence concerns, and historical/ ancestral trauma. I also provide LGBTQ+ affirming care and practice through an anti-racist/ anti-oppressive lens. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in respect. I aim to co-create a space where clients can openly explore themselves, strengthen their intuition/ confidence, and move toward their vision of health and healing. Outside of work, I enjoy connecting with nature and exploring the creative arts.
