Getting to know Melody Hulitt-Pillow

Hello, my name is Melody Hulitt-Pillow, and I am a licensed LMSW in Michigan, LCSW in Indiana, and now licensed in the state of Florida. I completed my master's degree in Social Work in 2011 at Western Michigan University, specializing in clinical interpersonal practice with a focus on childhood trauma. With over 10 years of experience, my private practice, Heart 2 Heart Holistic Counseling, LLC, utilizes a holistic approach to therapy, addressing the mind, body, and spirit to support clients in healing and achieving their personal goals. My treatment approach is through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with Holistic Health and wellness, rooted in neurodivergent psychology therapy practices that encompass a Mind-Body-Spiritual Holistic faith model. This means I use modeling and coaching to educate you on how to use mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing, and other coping tools for daily stress, managing upsetting situations, and changing negative behaviors.

I was very nervous before the sessions and during the sessions but Mary was very easy to talk and made me very comfortable.
Really having breakthroughs thanks to how well my therapist listens and guides me in dealing with grief and trauma
There is always a key word that helps me look at my life is a positive way. Today's word is stewardship.
So appreciated learning tapping today as well as exploring my purpose in my work life at this stage of older adult.
I feel heard! And my therapist gave me concrete and practical information that will help me in between sessions.
Healing is hard but possible with help. I didn't airways feel that way. Thank you Melody ??
She makes me feel like I'm not totally losing my marbles. I really appreciate that.
The Steps to Self-Forgiveness is concrete, and I'm looking forward to it.
I'm appreciating these sessions so far. It's my first time receiving therapy.

So thankful for my therapist again today!
Thank you for Melody!
Melody is very easy to talk to, she listen to the issues I am having and then provides tools and thoughts for how I can try to stop them.
Melody is amazing, she is a blessing...
Melissa did a great job taking time to listen to what I was going through and giving me concrete tools to use to feel better. Thank you!!!
She was great.
She's the best.
:)
Melody was so amazing and sweet
I really liked how Melody got to know me by asking direct questions verses having me explain what was happening to me. The broad explanation can be overwhelming and having her ask direct questions prevented me from spiraling. I think she got a lot about me and what I need from her during this first session.

The specific interventions Melody suggested are what I know I need and have been looking for in her holistic approach to trauma and in listening to me and responding so expertly to my pain.
