Getting to know Michael Arieta

Hi and welcome! I have been practicing Social Work since 1995 and clinically since 2011. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Minnesota and am fully licensed in Minnesota, Iowa, and Arizona. I am also a PACC-certified therapist and work with permanence and adoption. I am trained in Brainspotting, which I use to address stuck trauma. My practice is rooted in a body-based approach, focusing first on what is happening in the body and then connecting it to the mind. As humans, we experience things in the body first, and cognition either activates or shuts down depending on what we are going through. I love working with people who have experienced all types of trauma and helping them gain a better understanding of how it impacts their lives. I look forward to meeting you and working together toward healing.
