I specialize in a treatment modality called AEDP. This approach focused on the healing power of emotions, cultivating secure attachment, and connecting individuals to their Core Self - the part of oneself that is intact, resilient, and oriented toward wholeness. AEDP assists individuals in cultivating emotional competence by facilitating a more direct way to be with and experience one's emotions. I also have expertise in Mindfulness based approaches, which I weave into the treatment.

AEDP assists individuals in cultivating emotional competence by facilitating a more direct way to be with and experience one's emotions. What should a new client know about working with you?

AEDP is an experiential approach that privileges right brain healing. Thus, it goes beyond talk therapy and helps individuals become more embodied through somatic awareness of one's emotions. This approach is particularly well suited to working through developmental trauma through portrayal work. Portrayal harnesses the healing power of the imagination via parts work between one's adult self and younger parts. You can expect me to be active and engaged with you during each session. I also will assist you in developing basic, practical tools for emotional regulation.
