AZ
Hello, I'm Michael, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Arizona and California. I have dedicated over 25 years to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and rediscover their joy. My journey in psychology began with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, followed by two Master's Degrees in Clinical and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of New Haven, CT, and Antioch University in Los Angeles, CA. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including teens, children, and individuals from various cultural and religious backgrounds. My specialties include treating trauma, addiction, grief and loss, and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. I also focus on relationship issues, helping couples and families build stronger, healthier connections. My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining traditional modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Relational Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with alternative therapies such as Hypnosis, Meditation/Mindfulness, Yoga, Breathwork, and Music and Art Therapy. This holistic approach allows me to tailor my methods to each client's unique needs, fostering a deeper and more meaningful healing process. In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and non-judgmental space where we work collaboratively to address your concerns. Whether you're dealing with stress, navigating a life transition, or seeking support for issues related to gender identity or LGBTQIA+ matters, I am here to help you find clarity and resilience. Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about incorporating mindfulness and creativity into my daily routine. I believe that these practices not only enhance our well-being but also enrich our therapeutic work together.
