UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Virginia with more than a decade of experience in the field of social work. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and my Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University. Throughout my career, I have assisted people in adjusting to a new normal through task analysis, supportive talk therapy, and case management. The individuals I have worked with have struggled with symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. Believing that anyone, in any situation, can benefit from therapeutic interventions, I draw from a number of theoretical perspectives. I base my work on a strength-based and client-centered approach, incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as mindfulness-based practices.
