Hi! I'm Michelle, and I'm glad you are here. My specialty is assisting adults 55+ in finding meaning and peace while working through grief and loss, life transitions, chronic illness, and caregiver fatigue. Do you worry about what life will look like as you approach retirement and wonder: How will I fill my days? Will there be a place for me in my child's life? Will medical appointments become my full-time job? How will I manage the care of my aging spouse and my grief when loved ones pass away? How do I balance my financial and medical concerns without burdening my family? If these thoughts are keeping you from experiencing joy in life, I am here to walk alongside you in a safe and collaborative space. My approach combines Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to create new thought patterns and practical solutions, based on your strengths and goals. I have been working with older adults and their families for 6 years, providing practical and heart-centered support at end-of-life. I was drawn into this work after a major life event in my late 40s prompted me to leave my teaching career to pursue Clinical Social Work. I earned a Master's degree in Social Work, with an emphasis in gerontology and end-of-life care, and interned with a hospice agency. Through my education, I found helping people find meaning and peace through difficult times is my passion, and I am looking forward to working together on this journey. If you feel ready to take the next step towards finding peace and meaning in your life, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to navigate these transitions and find joy in your journey.
