Psychotherapist
WA
Hello! I’m Millie (she/her), a therapist who guides adults through transitions, identity exploration, and long-standing challenges. My own experience as a trans woman and my background in psychology have deeply shaped how I work: with empathy, authenticity, and a focus on connection. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology, I found the process of listening to people’s stories, exploring their inner worlds, and helping them navigate change far more compelling than my earlier work. That realization set me on the path to becoming a therapist. I specialise in supporting adults (and older teens when appropriate) who are navigating inflection points in life (identity shifts, career pivots, transitions), gender diversity and identity (particularly trans women), neurodivergence, and chronic life issues and long-standing patterns or struggles calling for fresh insight My work is client-centred and eclectic, rooted in humanistic and feminist therapy principles (influenced by Carl Rogers). I help you explore how your identity and positionality shape your life, and I integrate tools from CBT and motivational interviewing when they serve your goals. Above all, your story guides the process. Feeling safe and heard from the first session is non-negotiable for me. I draw on my identities: race, gender, sexuality, and disability to inform how I hold space: humbly, openly, and with continual self-reflection. I also value feedback and welcome your voice in shaping our work together. I take pride in working with anyone who values exploring identity, meaning, and personal growth. My practice is trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and rooted in constant learning. I offer a free consultation to connect and understand what you’re looking for in therapy. Together, we’ll rebuild your sense of agency, nurture resilience, and move through healing at a pace that feels right for you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and shaped by who you are. I believe healing happens when you feel genuinely seen and safe to show up as yourself. In our work together, we’ll move at your pace, exploring what feels heavy, making sense of long-standing patterns, and building more self-trust along the way. I draw from humanistic, feminist, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, but most of all, I listen. Therapy with me is a space for honesty, reflection, and real growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our sessions, you can expect a calm, collaborative space where we explore what’s happening in your life right now while also connecting it to deeper patterns. I’ll often start by checking in about your week and what feels most present for you. From there, we might talk through emotions, relationships, or identity themes that come up, using curiosity and reflection to guide the process. I don’t rely on worksheets or rigid plans; our work unfolds through conversation, insight, and genuine connection at your pace.
