Getting to know Miski Osman

I’m passionate about systemic changes and intergenerational trauma. My approach to therapeutic relationships is to collaborate with my clients. My role is to help empower my clients to achieve their goals and promote a safe space. I know everyone has a story. Your story matters. I believe clients are the "experts" on their life. I work with various individuals, couples, and families to get to the root of problems and help clients develop effective coping skills for different life situations, triggers, and traumas. I hold a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that therapy is about finding your authentic self and learning to embrace suffering that is part of life. It is my passion to develop a genuine relationship with my clients where we can safely have difficult conversations, have and resolve conflicts, and experience your authentic self, including your pain.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a marriage and family therapist I view individuals from a systemic lens, which means I see individuals as a part of a larger system within society, culture, and relationships. I encourage clients to bring family or friends to sessions. As a bicultural and bilingual therapist my passion is working with diverse cultures. My therapeutic treatment models consist of solution focused and experiential therapy and adjust my style to best fit your needs. I believe counseling is a process where we work together to discover what works best for you. I can’t guarantee any cure, but I promise I will do what I can to support you throughout the counseling process.
