I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in trauma. My approach is action-based and relationship-centered. I help individuals and couples reclaim their personal power and craft a life that is meaningful and safe. My approach: Trauma lives in the present, even if the event was decades ago. What heals the trauma response (those symptoms that keep interfering with the life you want to live) is focusing on changing the way your neurological system responds to triggers in the present. I use polyvagal techniques, EMDR, the Emotional Freedom Technique, Somatic movement, DBT, and cognitive restructuring. That is a lot of mumbo jumbo. Basically, I help you use your body and your thoughts to make your brain behave.
