Psychotherapist

At the heart of my work is an invitation to explore what a meaningful life looks like, for you. It’s common to become separated from your own life, moving on autopilot, trying to accomplish what you believe you should be doing. You may find yourself comparing your life to others and feeling as though you’re not doing things well enough, without noticing how deeply incomparable your life is. Over time, this can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, from others, and from the sense of aliveness that makes life feel meaningful. Each of us has a unique inner world shaped by our histories, relationships, sensitivities, and desires. Given this, it makes sense that a meaningful life cannot look the same for everyone. In therapy, my goal is to offer a space of deep attention where you can slow down and become curious about your life from your perspective. We will explore what has been working for you and what hasn’t, what has been scaring you, what parts of you are aching to be seen, what you are longing for, and more. Over time, my hope is that this space helps you relate to yourself with more compassion, creating the room needed to notice and move toward a life that feels meaningful and aligned.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My passion for vulnerability is what led me to become a therapist. Over the course of my life, I’ve grown to love conversations where I, and the people around me, can slowly remove layers and practice letting go of being anyone other than who we are in that moment. I’ve become deeply drawn to these moments of softening, when our guards come down and we are seen as we are at our core. I believe that beneath our layers, we are all loving, scared humans with a deep desire to be loved.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I provide individual, couples, and group therapy to adults from diverse cultural and racial backgrounds. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and existential concerns. I primarily work from a psychoanalytic lens, with an emphasis on curiosity and developing a deeper understanding of your inner world and relational patterns. I specialize in couples therapy and the treatment of OCD using evidence-based approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention. In addition to individual and couples work, I currently facilitate a support group for couples navigating the challenges of Relationship OCD (ROCD).
