Getting to know Dr. Natalie Medina-Minton

I am a behavioralist and trauma-informed clinical social worker specializing in working with individuals who have experienced severe trauma and children with behavioral health disorders. My practice is uniquely informed by narrative therapy with a cultural lens, shaped by my early background as an anthropologist and my personal cultural identity as a Latina. I hold a Doctor of Clinical Social Work and a Master's in Social Work from New York University, which further supports my clinical perspective. My therapeutic style is characterized by openness, warmth, compassion, non-judgment, holistic care, and humor. I focus on each client's individual needs, providing tailored support. My hope for my clients is to help them process their past and present while fostering hope for their future, allowing me to accompany them on their therapeutic journey. I often tell clients that they are driving the car, and I am a passenger-together deciding which road to take and why. Therapy can be provided in a client's home on a case-by-case basis. I am a board-certified telemental health provider and also offer therapy remotely via telephone and video.

I have been seeing Natalie for about 10 months now. When I came to her, I had just about given up on therapy. I have been on and off therapy since I was 17-years-old and had not felt that I had made much progress. I can honestly say that she is the best Therapist I have had (and I've had more than a few). I feel like I have made more progress working through my anxieties and dissociative disorders in the past 10 months than I have in my entire adult life (I am currently 36-years-old). I would highly recommend Natalie to anyone seeking help, even if you have just about given up.
