“I can’t say enough positive things about Natalie! I have seen a couple therapists in my life and she definitely surpasses them all. Her professionalism, knowledge, empathy, and supportive nature are truly incomparable. She knows how to give you the right tools and strategies to overcome whatever you are facing. I personally struggle with anxiety, depression, and body dysmorphia from using social media platforms. Living with unlimited access to hundreds of Instagram profiles, I have become obsessed with appearances and “likes”. Natalie has allowed me to realize this and work with me to control these habits. She is truly compassionate about her work and her field, which shows during our sessions. I can’t thank her enough and appreciate everything she has already done for me! Thank you!!”

Getting to know Natalie Worobel

Hi, my name is Natalie Worobel, and I am a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University, where I also earned my bachelor’s degree. My counseling skills cover a variety of areas but are particularly well suited for adults who want to become more empowered and for those who struggle with digital media overuse, including gaming, porn, social media, shopping, and internet addiction. As your therapist, my goal is to help you improve your relationships, starting with the most important one—the relationship you have with yourself. Personal empowerment covers many areas of mental wellness, including managing anxiety, letting go of people-pleasing and codependency, and integrating more boundaries, assertiveness, and authenticity into your life. Many clients have accomplished life goals but struggle to feel connected in relationships or live a balanced life. I love helping people recognize their strengths and guiding them to understand what is getting in their way of living the life they want. Therapy with me is insight-oriented and skills-based. I balance my role as both someone who provides support and someone who challenges you to grow. I believe therapy is not just for those with unwanted psychiatric symptoms but also for people who want to become the best version of themselves. An overarching theme in my work is supporting clients to become more empowered by discovering ways to take more ownership of their lives. Therapy can be an exciting place to learn about yourself and engage with the world in new ways, benefiting not only your life but also those you care about most. If this resonates with you, reach out to set up a free consultation to see if we would be a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you soon!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Congratulations, you have taken the first step towards feeling better and living a more authentic life. I am very excited to be a part of your journey to becoming more empowered, connected, and balanced. Therapy can be an exciting place to learn more about yourself and try new patterns of behaviors and skills, which has the potential to not only benefit your life, but also the lives of the people you care the most about. Having worked in the mental health field for almost a decade in various settings and within diverse populations, I utilize an eclectic approach that encompasses my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, and Attachment Theory to best meet your individual needs. Change starts with you, but you do not have to do it alone. I will be by your side through your self-transformation journey. Although my focus tends to be on working with individuals, I also offer couples and family therapy to support your goals and therapeutic progress as needed. I am currently accepting new clients and offer free 20-minute phone consultations to see if we would be a good fit working together before starting services.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Engaging in therapy is a personal relationship and it is important to find the right fit in a therapist to best fit your therapeutic needs. In order to make sure we are the right fit for working together, I will reach out to set up an initial free consultation call before you attend your first session. If this is not possible for any reason, the first appointment will be an assessment session to also see if this is the right fit for your clinical needs before committing to therapy. Therapy with me typically involves weekly or bi-monthly sessions. I offer telehealth therapy in order to offer convenient sessions to build into your busy life. I do not have any minimum number of sessions or frequency of sessions as I believe you know best when therapy is needed and most beneficial for you. I look forward to connecting with you to see if we are a good fit for your therapeutic needs. If you need to cancel, please do so 24 hours before our session time or this will incur a cancelation fee.

I love how Natalie makes me feel comfortable and seen while also being direct and encouraging me to make decisions on what works for me. She is a wonderful listener and never makes me feel judged, even when I am in the wrong. Instead of focusing on guilt, she helps provide a path for me to find different perspectives and solutions. She has also helped me identify some harmful patterns and reprioritize the things I focus on the most. I highly recommend Natalie!
I have struggled with tech and social media overuse for a long time. I would go down rabbit holes of scrolling on reddit, Instagram or other forums for hours. It started affecting my work and my relationships. I was becoming unmotivated and depressed, leading me to seek comfort in more mindless social media scrolling. I tried talking to other therapists about the problems I was having, but nobody seemed to take this seriously or even see it as an actual issue. Working with Natalie has been transformative and a breath of fresh air. Her approach is more pragmatic than most. She does not push for an abstinence only model and instead we have been getting my tech use down to healthier levels. Not all tech use is bad and avoiding it completely is pretty much impossible in my line of work. She has helped me immensely and has really been a joy to work with. Natalie is extremely knowledgeable in this field and is very personable and comfortable to talk to. I highly suggest working with her for any mental health needs and especially if you find yourself struggling with tech addiction of some sort. I have in fact already recommended her services to a few of my friends.
Natalie was excellent, I felt very comfortable in her presence and she was delightful to talk to. You can definitely tell she is passionate about what she does and she truly cares for her patients and their outcomes. Very professional and genuine at the same time. I highly recommend.
I would highly recommend working with Natalie! She provides a nice balance of validation and acknowledging my strengths while also providing questions that challenge me to help push me outside of my comfort zone in each of our sessions. Natalie is also full of helpful resources for me to utilize outside of session if I'd like. I can tell she really cares about each of her clients and wants to see them succeed!
Natalie has been such a patient and sincerely amazing resource for helping me not only understand my mental health journey but giving me the tools to finally make progress on breaking habits that were doing damage in so many ways of my personal and professional life. Having been my first time working with a therapist, I wasn't sure what to expect but it feels like I'm talking to someone who's known me forever and isn't trying to "fix" me or tell me what's right or wrong but really helping me have breakthroughs in my understanding of how my brain works and feeling "whole" just the way I am. I've found new ways to deal with anxiety, my depression is something I view differently as a whole - celebrating the days that are good and holding space for those that aren't. This is just a long way of saying I have learned a lot and will continue to utilize Natalie for maintaining and growing into the person that I am proud to be.
Natalie has helped me so much in the past 7 months. Her ability to provide me with non-biased perspectives that has allowed me to explore my thoughts and patterns in a safe environment, is like nothing I’ve never experienced in a therapist. My sense of self and relationships have noticeably transformed for the better since I’ve started talking with her. 10/10 recommend.
I can’t say enough how grateful I am to be under Natalie’s care and support. I had previously struggled to find a good fit for a counselor I felt fully comfortable sharing with. Natalie has always created a judgement free environment and working with her has truly allowed me to better understand my compulsions (personally, my biggest issue is with addiction/ video game addition) so that I can get to a better place and take ownership of my life. Again, I’m endlessly grateful to have her support as my counselor!
