Hi, I'm Nathan. I specialize in working with men's issues, particularly those related to sexual concerns such as affairs, hook-ups, porn, and fantasies, whether involving same-sex or opposite-sex interactions. Beyond that, I also help men navigate stress, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, relational issues, goal setting, financial management, and other challenges unique to men. While I've predominantly worked with a Christian population, I'm open to meeting each individual where they are, as long as we're a good fit for each other. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2000, but at that time, I wasn't ready to pursue a career in counseling. After nearly 20 years in the banking industry, I decided to make a significant career shift. I went back to school and obtained my master's degree in Counseling from Liberty University, and I absolutely love what I do now! Initially, I worked with couples, but I soon realized my true passion lies in individual work with men. My approach to counseling is eclectic, drawing from a biopsychosocial-spiritual model, as well as influences from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My primary focus is to meet you where you are and help you move towards your desired goals, using the approach that best suits your needs. Research shows that the most important factor in effective counseling is the therapeutic alliance—the connection between therapist and client. I understand that I may not be the right fit for everyone, and I'm not afraid to acknowledge that. The best way to find out if we're a good match is to read through my bio, check out my website, and if you're still interested, schedule a free 20-minute consultation with me. If this sounds like a good fit for you, I'd love to connect and see how we can work together to achieve your goals.
