Psychotherapist
WA
I’m a therapist who values connection, curiosity, and creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and safe. My own experiences navigating life as a neurodivergent person of color have helped me understand how identity, culture, and societal expectations shape our mental health. This perspective allows me to bring empathy, insight, and cultural humility to my work with clients. When working with me, you can expect a collaborative, conversational approach. I aim to create a space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment, learn tools to manage anxiety or life transitions, and work toward healthier relationships—with yourself and others. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, intrusive/compulsive thoughts, OCD, life transitions, relationship and family challenges. These areas are important to me because I’ve seen how they impact daily life, self-understanding, and connection with others. I help clients untangle these challenges, find grounding, and move toward a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and connected.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a therapy space that feels grounded, non-judgmental, and genuinely collaborative. My style is warm, conversational, and attuned—I want you to feel understood, supported, and emotionally safe enough to explore the places in your life that feel heavy or confusing. I’m not here to lecture or diagnose from a distance; I’m here to join you, guide you, and help you make sense of what you’re navigating. I use a blend of Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and mindfulness-based, relational approaches. What that means in practice is that we slow things down so you can better understand what’s happening beneath the surface—your emotions, your needs, the patterns you keep finding yourself in, and the ways your nervous system responds to stress or conflict. We look at how these patterns show up in your relationships, your communication, and your sense of self. Then we work together to shift those patterns in a way that supports the kind of life and connection you want. You can expect me to ask thoughtful questions, offer gentle reflections, and help you notice things you may not have put words to yet. I value emotional insight just as much as practical tools, so we’ll focus not only on understanding what’s happening but also on building skills that strengthen communication, boundaries, and coping. Above all, I want our time to feel useful, supportive, and grounded in your goals. My hope is that you leave each session with a little more clarity, a bit more emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of connection to yourself—and, if you’re coming in as a couple, to your partner as well. If you’re ready to explore, heal, and create new emotional patterns, I’m here to walk alongside you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is collaborative from the very beginning. In our first few sessions, we get curious together about what’s bringing you in—your stressors, your emotional patterns, your relationships, and the goals you want to work toward. I’ll ask questions that help us understand not just the “what,” but also the “why” beneath your experiences. This helps us create a shared roadmap for your care rather than me deciding it for you. A typical session with me is a mix of reflection, emotional exploration, and practical skill-building. I use approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you slow down and really notice what’s happening inside—your emotions, your needs, and the places where you feel stuck or overwhelmed. From there, we look at how those inner experiences shape your communication, your reactions, and your relationships. You can expect our time to feel grounded, supportive, and intentional. I check in with you regularly about what’s landing, what feels helpful, and what needs adjusting. Sometimes sessions are more structured and tool-oriented; other times they’re about holding space for big emotions or processing something tender. Either way, my goal is to help you walk out feeling more regulated, more understood, and more connected to yourself and the people you care about. Over time, we track your progress together—celebrating the shifts you’re making and continuing to refine our work so it fits who you are and what you need. Your voice guides the process, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering insight, support, and a clearer path forward.
