Getting to know Nero Kerolle
I have been in the field of mental health since 2018. I obtained my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. During this time, I have worked with a wide array of diverse individuals, gaining valuable tools and knowledge that enable me to be a more effective clinician for my patients. I have experience in navigating relationship conflicts, trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe to be an effective clinician, my clients should know their time with me is invaluable, and their concerns are met with both empathy, sincerity, and a willingness to guide and help. I use a variety of modalities within my therapeutic approach, including DBT, REBT, MI and psychoeducation I believe each one of my clients, should be approached with a modality that serves their purpose and their reasoning’s as to why they are coming into therapy.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In the first session I will complete an intake assessment to gather as much information to better assess and get to know you, your history, and what concerns have brought you to therapy and therefore set up goals. The following sessions, we will engage in talk therapy while pulling from various modalities to help you achieve your goals. Our sessions are 45 min in length on a weekly basis.
Please allow 15 minutes before the session to do the intake paperwork.

Nero is the ideal therapist for me. I feel safe, validated, and most importantly, guided. I can tell he's truly listening because of his specific questions and comments. My favorite part is his feedback and his presence. To know that someone can still have the energy/capacity to give you their full attention even at the end of their (and your) work day, is truly a HUGE (but subtle) indicator that he treats people with respect, value and care. A good therapist is there for you... but a great therapist models their own words and values. You know how us NYers are when it comes to being real lol. You could tell he fills his cup before helping you fill yours. Who wouldn't want that? lol

Nero made me feel very comfortable and safe. I had some personal concerns that I was afraid to voice at first, but he already set the tone for me to speak with fearless transparency.
