Getting to know Nicholas Boeder

Hi, I'm Nick. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, where I grew up in a big family and spent much of my youth playing sports. My journey to becoming the clinician I am today has been incredible and has shaped me as a person in a powerful way. Since 1998, I've had the privilege of working in the field of social service across many different clinical environments and with a wide-ranging client population. From experiential and wilderness settings to outpatient facilities and residential treatment, my diverse experiences have enriched my practice and perspective. For the past four years, I've primarily been in private practice, which has allowed me to focus deeply on my clients' needs and growth. I deeply value the importance of relationship when working with my clients and believe that relationship alone can be curative in therapy. Being a creative and adaptable person and therapist is central to my approach, and I seek to inspire the same in the people I work with. I am strengths-based and always strive to identify and reflect my clients' many strengths and areas of resilience, helping them find the stability they are seeking. While the bulk of my work has been with teens and families over the years, I also love working with couples and young professionals. My many experiences in the field of mental health have shaped me into a versatile and effective therapist. Whether you're dealing with anger management, anxiety, autism spectrum support, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, depression, family relationships, grief/bereavement, life transitions, spirituality, stress, or trauma, I'm here to support you.
