Nick received his undergraduate degree in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology from CU Boulder where he was a BURST/BSI Scholar. He holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver with a focus on addiction. He trained as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy practitioner through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and currently focuses on Ketamine- and Psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy as well as individual counseling. He is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he worked as a corpsman (FMF, 2010/2011 OEF 1st Marine Div.). He is also a yoga instructor. As a counselor, he has worked with many ages and backgrounds for the last 7 years. He has specific experience with young adults in transitional living, addiction counseling, neurodivergent individuals, and teaching yoga to underprivileged populations. Previously, he worked within the Colorado specialty courts, helping run the RISE curriculum within the Denver County Jail. He was most recently the director of psychedelic services at a practice in Boulder. Nick is oriented toward existential and humanistic approaches to counseling along with psychedelic therapy. He is an avid bird-watcher and his favorite bird is the Swainson’s thrush. *I am currently accepting individuals into psychedelic therapy at my private practice, please ask about this if you are interested.
