Getting to Know: Hi. My name is Nicole Purwin, and I'm an LCSW licensed in the state of NJ. I have over 20 years of experience working in mental health with a multitude of clientele and their loved ones. I am a graduate of both Fordham University and Rutgers University. In my practice and artistry, I strive to provide a therapeutic safe space where all clients truly feel seen, heard, and non-judged. I integrate my style and treatment depending on each individual and their wants and needs. I am additionally LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcome all. I am an active participant in treatment if wanted or appropriate, welcome feedback every session, and incorporate humor, experience, compassion, and humility in my style. I truly appreciate and honor being allowed to accompany a person through this journey we call life.

Sessions with me may be fun, heartbreaking, indifferent, pensive but hopefully eventually finding a level of inner peace and greater acceptance. Let’s work through the pains and obstacles together. We can sit in darkness collectively until we eventually see light. I’m ready for the ride as long as you are. Plus I’m a good driver, most of the time.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Live Nicole! She helps me open up and is very understanding. She helps to validate my struggles while also helping me to tackle my anxiety and low self esteem. She’s also very respectful of my gender identity which is very important to me.
