Hello, I'm Nicole, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), proudly trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). With many years of experience in behavioral health, I've had the honor of working with clients aged 18 to 95, from diverse racial, ethnic, religious, sexual, and gender identities. As a proud LGBTQIA+ ally, I am committed to providing inclusive and compassionate care to all my clients. My expertise lies in treating symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use and process use disorders, co-occurring conditions, grief and loss, relationship issues, infidelity, communication issues, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, chronic pain, and career/work conflicts. Whether you're an individual, a couple, or part of a group, I have experience working in various settings, including hospital systems, academia, non-profit integrated care clinics, and private practice. In my clinical work, I believe in meeting you where you are. You decide the topics you want to work on and set the goals that matter most to you. My role is to provide an objective, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can process your issues while honoring your identity. My theoretical orientation includes cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I also integrate stabilization skills such as mindfulness, grounding techniques, somatic healing, and EMDR when appropriate. EMDR, in particular, is a specialized treatment that can be profoundly healing for many conditions. Building a therapeutic alliance and trust with my clients is my top priority.
