Getting to know Niloofar Mirhadi

I am a New York University-trained psychotherapist with over 8 years of experience since graduating. I am also a Psychoanalyst Candidate through the Training Institute in Manhattan. In addition to my training as a Psychoanalyst Candidate and my Master's degree in Social Work from New York University, I hold an Honors degree and a BA in Psychology. I work with clients in both English and Farsi. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem and/or self-image issues, feelings of sadness and guilt, loss and grief, or other challenges, a strong therapeutic relationship can be your direct path to a fulfilling self-growth journey. My warm, supportive, and compassionate therapeutic style, combined with a strong evidence-based psychodynamically oriented theoretical background, allows for a safe holding environment where the emergence of unconscious and subconscious thoughts and feelings is welcomed.

What should a new client know about working with you?

We will meet for a consultation to confirm we're a good fit- a consultation is a free opportunity to assess whether we'd like to work together, for you to ask any questions you might have including about logistics, and to discuss your therapy goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your reasons for seeking therapy are unique to you. Together, we will identify the areas in which you struggle. We will acknowledge where you have been and define where you are going.
