The provider is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. The provider is a “Licensed Social Worker" and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Rivia Mind. *After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University, providing telehealth therapy to adults in New York and New Jersey. During my clinical placement at an outpatient practice, I worked with teens, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, interpersonal and family challenges, and trauma recovery. It was deeply meaningful to offer individuals a supportive space to process emotions, explore their goals, and gain greater self-understanding. I also completed a practicum at an older adult center, where I provided social work services and connected older adults to resources related to food and housing insecurity, as well as mental health services. I developed and facilitated a group focused on self-care, which offered members a powerful sense of connection and community. My clinical experience includes working with individuals managing: - Anxiety and depression - Life transitions - Interpersonal and family dynamics, including healing from parentification - Eating disorder recovery - Navigating the challenges of corporate life and career shifts My previous career in media informs my insight into the stressors that can arise in corporate environments, including identity exploration, burnout, and professional uncertainty. I frequently work with professionals and young adults navigating these unique challenges. Outside of work, I unwind by moving my body, whether that’s walking outdoors, cycling, or practicing yoga, as a way to process the day.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am most passionate about the transformative power of self-exploration and the strength of the therapeutic relationship. It's rare that people are given a space entirely dedicated to themselves and when they are, it opens the door to meaningful insight and change. I believe the therapeutic alliance is essential, serving as the foundation for growth and healing. Therapy looks different for everyone. I view the process as a collaborative partnership, where the you are the expert in your own life and experiences. My role is to provide a supportive, trauma-informed, and empathetic environment that is affirming and welcoming to individuals of all identities and backgrounds. The relationship between therapist and client is central to the success of therapy, so feeling comfortable and safe is key.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to care, allowing you to lead the way in our work together. This means I foster an encouraging atmosphere while refraining from offering advice, interpretations, or otherwise directing the therapeutic process and instead focus on creating a safe, trustworthy space where you can share at your own pace, make choices about your care, and feel respected and understood. Trauma-informed care acknowledges how experiences such as abuse, neglect, loss, or other life-altering events can impact a person’s emotions, relationships, and overall well-being, and it seeks to avoid re-traumatization while supporting healing and personal growth. My therapeutic style is collaborative and grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life. I recognize that therapy looks different for everyone and prioritize cultivating a safe, supportive space built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. I integrate several evidence-based modalities, including: - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors - Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Helps you accept your present circumstances while working toward change - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Encourages acceptance of difficult thoughts and emotions as part of the human experience. Rather than attempting to control or suppress them, you learn to take values-driven action - Mindfulness is another integral part of my therapeutic approach. Practicing nonjudgmental awareness of the present moment can help you interrupt automatic reactions, reduce stress, and improve emotional regulation. Overall, I strive to offer a compassionate and flexible approach that honors each client’s unique journey of healing and growth.
