Are you seeking a safe space to work through life's challenges? Original Counseling Services is a private practice dedicated to helping people discover the original, authentic, and whole version of themselves through talk therapy.
I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and use both research-based and faith-based counseling theories to support clients as they regain their balance, find inner peace, heal from traumatic experiences, and develop sustainable coping strategies.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Dr. Ori Onazi is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. She believes that the therapeutic process is a team effort that is successful when there’s vulnerability, honesty, and a willingness to be self-aware. I am warm yet direct and provide a person centered therapeutic space. I also specialize in helping first generation immigrants navigate difficult family dynamics, set/maintain boundaries and overcome cultural barriers.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for individuals to attain emotional, social, and mental wellbeing. She believes that clients are the experts of their own lives and her job is to support as they uncover the authentic, healthier versions of themselves. I only provide dignisis for insurance purposes.
