Hi there, I'm Pamala! I am a Behavioral Analyst, Federal Consultation-Liaison, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. I utilize my skills both here in the U.S. and abroad for the Department of Defense, Veterans Administration, and in private practice. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from New York University and completed doctoral studies, earning a PhD in Advanced Human Behavior from Capella University. My approach While I have trained in many behavioral health models, I specialize in military-related PTSD, mood disorders, suicide and homicide treatment/prevention, relational conflict, postpartum depression, and sexual/intimate partner trauma for children and adults. Because of my level of training, I have been nationally recognized as an expert witness in the family and criminal court systems of New York, Virginia, and North Carolina. My focus I often participate in behavioral health symposiums throughout the country and advocate for supporting marriage, strengthening single-parent homes, military and veteran families, educating young parents, and promoting collectivism for the community’s wellbeing. My communication style I am a solution-focused, affirming, and open-minded provider who will meet you where you are ready to start. My journey to therapy I am known for saying, “The village needs us. Let us come together and win.” I believe in nurturing families until they are able to stand up for themselves. My goals for you I will work with you to create realistic, person-centered goals that you feel are truly achievable. You are the subject matter expert on how you feel. Together, we will help you create the life changes you want. My first session with you Our first session will be spent identifying the experiences, symptoms, thoughts, and feelings you find most problematic in a safe and protective space.

She was spot on with her assessments of my husband and I. She listened and gave real life examples of things we can do as well as homework. She was easy to open up to and I felt I could connect with her as she shared a little about herself as well. We loved her.

Very easy to talk to and provided feedback in a clear, concise and empathetic manner which allowed me to speak/communicate thoroughly and feel like I was being heard. Her hours of operation are perfect for someone with a 9-5 as she accommodates her patients by doing weekend visits or later visits on weekdays. 10/10 would (and probably will) recommend to anyone looking for care in the future.
