“I've been working with Pam for about three years now. I've seen other therapists on and off for about 8 years but never really felt like therapy "worked" until I started seeing her. Her approach is challenging but effective, warm and empathetic, engaging and tough when necessary. You will be in the driver's seat but she's not the kind of therapist who just sits back and listens. She is always working with you to figure out the root of an issue, identify patterns, validate feelings, reparent your inner child, and offer insight into psycho education. Her approach includes some somatic techniques, asking tough questions and giving homework. I have seen many positive changes in my thought patterns, self talk and behaviors since working with Pam.”

“I began working with Pam during a time when my world felt like it was changing faster than I could adjust to it. From the very beginning, she provided a safe and supportive space that allowed me to start unpacking things I didn’t even realize I was carrying. Together, we’ve navigated my experiences with anxiety, CPTSD, and narcissistic abuse. Through our work together, I’ve gained a much deeper understanding of myself and how my childhood experiences show up in my adult life. Pam has helped me approach healing in a way that feels compassionate, grounded, and “nervous-system approved,” which has made a huge difference in my ability to make meaningful changes. Healing is not easy work, but with the right support it becomes possible and worth it. I am grateful for Pam’s guidance and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist who is thoughtful, supportive, and truly invested in their clients’ growth.”

Getting to know Pamela Jackson

I believe healing happens when you feel deeply seen — not rushed, not fixed, not judged. I specialize in working with adults who appear “high functioning” on the outside but feel anxious, alone, emotionally disconnected, or burdened by old relational wounds on the inside. Many of my clients carry complicated mother relationships, chronic people-pleasing patterns, or simply hunger for more than self-awareness and clarity--they want change. My goal is to help you become more connected to yourself, more confident in your choices, and more at home in your own life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My work blends deep listening with structure and momentum. I help people slow down enough to notice what’s actually happening inside them, while also supporting forward movement toward real change. Clients often tell me, “That is so helpful,” because our work together brings clarity to places that once felt confusing, overwhelming, or stuck. My approach is intuitive, relational, and practical. Together, we identify emotional patterns, explore blind spots, and gently challenge survival strategies that no longer serve you. I offer both compassion and accountability — a space that feels safe enough to be honest and structured enough to create change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first sessions, I begin by understanding what brought you to therapy right now. What feels urgent? What feels confusing or painful? Together, we identify patterns, early relationships, formative experiences, and protective strategies that once made sense but may no longer serve you. My goal is to de-mystify what feels overwhelming. When we can name a pattern clearly, it not only loses some of its power, it gives us answers for how to undo that power as well. A typical session is conversational but intentional. I listen carefully — not just to what you say, but to themes and shifts. I will reflect back what I notice, offer insight, and sometimes ask questions that help you see yourself from a new angle. Clients often experience moments of clarity that allow them to move forward with more agency. I value depth and exploration, and I am also structured and forward-moving. We explore how awareness can change behavior, relationships, and decision-making in real time. Over time, therapy becomes a place where you learn how to observe yourself with more steadiness and less judgment — and from that position, self-determination and change becomes more real.

Navigating CPTSD has been a journey — with so much to unpack, on top of an already busy schedule and the demands of daily life. As a busy professional, my time is my most guarded resource, which makes the five-plus years I've spent in sessions with Pamela among the most valuable investments I've made. The work has been quietly transformative: I've developed a deeper self-awareness and a sharper emotional intelligence that have, over time, changed the quality of my inner life. I now move through the world with far greater clarity — knowing myself more fully, and as a result, living more deliberately.
Pam Jackson is truly heaven-sent. I know that may seem dramatic but if you've ever dealt with the debilitating effects of C-PTSD then you know how life-changing having actual support and effective interventions can be. Pam displays an incredibly empowering balance of warmth and competence, compassion and authority. I've felt safe enough in her care to address some of my earliest wounds and I’ve been challenged to grow in ways that allow me to keep myself safe too. Pam is expertly trauma informed and EMDR trained, which has also been a game changer in my journey. The last thing I’ll add is that if you’re Black or Brown, or queer or disabled or any kind of marginalized, and you’ve been disappointed by practitioners who don’t prioritize or embody anti-oppressive values, you will NOT have that same experience with Pam. I truly cannot recommend her practice enough.
Pam literally changed my life. Her approach is gentle and there’s no doubt that she cares. Can’t wait to work with her again.
